In registering for and/or participating in the Annual Conference on Vaccinology Research (ACVR), you agree to comply with the NFID Code of Conduct, to ensure a positive and productive experience for all.

NFID expects all meeting and event participants to help foster an inviting experience for all attendees. NFID has zero-tolerance for any form of discrimination or harassment, and unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated during any portion of NFID meetings or events.

Any participant violating the Code of Conduct will be removed from the conference. NFID does not tolerate the following:

  • Harassment, bullying, and intimidation

Harassment and bullying include, but are not limited to:

  • Negative comments about race/ethnicity, gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, physical appearance, citizenship, or other protected categories
  • Intimidation or threats, including sharing images or text especially to threaten
  • Unwelcome sexual attention, including sharing images or text especially to sexually harass
  • Threatening or other endangerment of minors
  • Any activity meant to convey or cultivate hostility
  • Encouraging the above behavior

Consequences of Violations

Participants found to be in violation of this Code of Conduct may face consequences, including but not limited to:

  • Immediate removal from the conference premises
  • Revocation of conference credentials without a refund
  • Reporting of the incident to local authorities, if applicable
